Is there anyway to take off manicured french nails without it being painful?

I just had my nails manicured for the first time and I have no idea what to do when my nails grow out, besides getting them done again. Is there anyway to take off manicured french nails without it being painful?
Acetone works, but it'll always be a little agonizing. Is there anyway to take off manicured french nails without it being painful?
TO GET THEM OFF WHEN YOU ARE READY...SOAK THEM IN NAIL POLISH REMOVER. EVERY FEW MINUTES PUSH OFF GEL AND IN TIME ALL OF IT WILL COME OFF. YOU MAY COST SOME OF THE LENGTH OF YOUR NAIL AND THE THICKNESS. BUT, THIS IS MUCH BETTER THEN TRYING TO JUST PICK THEM OFF.

RE FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.
Soak them in acetone nail polish remover.
Go to a reputable salon and ask for a soak off and a natural manicure with NO tips, wraps, or fill. Then keep your own nails painted until they grow out (they will be extremely thin and brittle). If you can't afford a soak off, soak balls of cotton in acetone, place on a few fingernails at a time, then wrap with foil and wait about 5-10 minutes. The tip should be soft and will come off. Do NOT pry the tip off--it will hurt like crazy and you could peel up what is left of your own nail, exposing the nail bed and potentially causing an infection. It's really best to have a pro do the soakoff.
put them under hot water for about 2 minutes. then pop them rite off. if they dont pop off let them hangs under a sink for a few more seconds. that should get them off.
I think you mean you got tips applied not a manicure. If that's the case - soak them off in acetone - takes a long while but do not let those crazy manicurists pick them off!

And FYI - your natural nails will be brittle
