With acryllic french nails in a UV light used?

If not when is a uv light usedWith acryllic french nails in a UV light used?
A UV lamp is used for the 'curing' of UV gel nails. It is not used on acrylic nails because they harden on their own by just being exposed to air and body temperature after the liquid and powder is combined and applied. UV nail gels require ultraviolet light to cure because they do not have the same exact chemicals as acrylics have - even though they are closely related chemically. UV nail gels have something in them which causes the gels to polymerize (cure) called photoinitiators. When these areexposed to UV light - the curing process begins. However, they are not cured by exposure to air, or heat as with acrylic. You can leave a container of gel uncovered all day long and nothing will happen unless, of course, it gets exposure to the sun, or any other source of UV light. With acryllic french nails in a UV light used?
