I used to do mine like this and got a lot of compliments. Either black nails with red tips or red nails with black tips.
Some others that look good:
Clear with silver or gold tips
Orange with black
Pink with black
Green with black or gold
Red with white or silver

i just painted mine a weird french manicure for back to school! haha well i used a darker, kinda champagne-y kinda pink and just did the white tips. What are other color combos for a french tip on nails other than the normal color?
i like either a hot pink or lime green
